Solar panels at our Welwyn Garden City HQ have generated over 32,000 kWh of renewable energy since 2012, powering our label printing operations and the local grid.

ISO 9001:2015 Certified for Over 20 Years
Silver Fox® has held ISO 9001 certification continuously since 28 June 2004. Our current certification to ISO 9001:2015 (Certificate No. 91517) is assessed and registered by NQA under UKAS accreditation, covering the design and supply of labels for the energy, process, data, and telecommunications industries worldwide, along with the sales and supply of Labacus Innovator® labelling software and associated technical support.
This means every Silver Fox® product, from the Fox-in-a-Box® industrial label printer and Labacus Innovator® software to our full range of industrial cable labels, is produced to a consistent, verifiable standard that is independently audited by NQA and renewed on a three-year certification cycle.

Carbon Negative Since 2020
Silver Fox® has been committed to environmental responsibility since 1979. In 2018, we partnered with Carbon Footprint Ltd to calculate and offset our annual emissions, achieving Carbon Neutral status. By 2020, we became the first manufacturing company in Hertfordshire to go Carbon Negative, meaning we offset more CO₂ than we produce every year. Verified Tree Planting & Offsetting
Our annual carbon footprint is calculated by Carbon Footprint Ltd. We fund verified tree planting programmes that offset more CO₂ than our total annual emissions. Additional trees are planted through ReviewForest and Ecosia across all company devices.
Solar Energy Generation
Solar panels installed at our Welwyn Garden City facility in 2012 have generated over 32,000 kWh of renewable energy, powering our label printing and manufacturing operations and contributing clean energy back to the local Hertfordshire grid.
Reduced Energy Consumption
Our facility runs on low-energy boilers with LED lighting throughout, secondary glazing, and improved insulation. We systematically invest in reducing our energy consumption year on year.
Charity Partnerships
Silver Fox® recognises the importance of supporting those who are less fortunate. We make monthly donations to our partner charities and actively support their work wherever we can.
