labelflex.io: The Dedicated Home for Belden® Cable Labels and Labelling Software

Partnership Update

labelflex.io: The Dedicated Home for Belden® Cable Labels and Labelling Software

Silver Fox® has launched labelflex.io - a dedicated resource for Belden cable labels, patch panel labels, and LabelFlex® cable label software. Everything in one place: software downloads, patch panel label templates, product guides, label SKU data, and installation tutorials built specifically for Belden structured cabling.

Most Belden installers encounter LabelFlex® the same way: opening a patch panel box and finding a sheet of pre-cut labels tucked inside. Those free PX-series label sheets have shipped inside Belden panel boxes for over two decades - but until now, there has not been a single, dedicated place to go for everything related to Belden cable labelling and patch panel labelling. That changes with labelflex.io.

The site brings together LabelFlex® cable label software downloads, the full Belden label product range with part numbers and specifications, patch panel label templates, installation guides, and step-by-step tutorials - all Belden-specific, all in one place. Whether you are a contractor running multiple Belden installs per year or an enterprise IT team managing ongoing moves, adds, and changes across a large site, labelflex.io is built for you.

1. The background

25 Years of Belden Labelling - Now with a Dedicated Home

LabelFlex® is not a third-party product that happens to be compatible with Belden panels. It was developed from scratch in direct partnership with Belden's structured cabling division - starting around 2001, when Silver Fox® Managing Director Nick Michaelson FIET FRSA first met the NordX team at a BICSI convention. NordX wanted a complete, turnkey cable labelling solution for their IBDN structured cabling range. Silver Fox® had been a precision labelling specialist since 1979.

The result was LabelFlex®: label sheets dimensioned against actual hardware, adhesive formulations tested on Belden's specific textured panel finishes, and patch panel label templates built from panel schematics rather than reverse-engineered. When NordX became NORDX/CDT and then Belden® through successive acquisitions, the working relationship continued without interruption. Every new panel generation - REVConnect, KeyConnect, AngleFlex, ECX fiber panels, BIX and GigaBIX wiring blocks - brought new templates and new label SKUs developed alongside the hardware, not after the fact.

25+ Years in partnership
20,000+ Projects supplied
20M+ Labels printed
65+ Belden templates

labelflex.io is the public expression of that partnership. A single destination where anyone working with Belden structured cabling can find the right labels, download the software, and access the guides they need to get the job done right.

2. The resource

Software, Labels, and Guides - All Belden-Specific

labelflex.io is organised around the three things Belden installers and IT teams need most: cable label software, label sheets, and guidance. Here is what you will find.

LabelFlex® Cable Label Software Download

LabelFlex® is Windows desktop label printing software (no Mac version, no browser version) that runs on any standard PC. The free tier includes all 65+ Belden patch panel label templates and cable label templates, copy-and-paste data entry from spreadsheets, sequential number and letter generation, and save/open job functionality. No specialist hardware is required - the software sends label sheets to your existing office laser printer. The download is available directly from labelflex.io or from belden.com/products/labelflex.

Belden Label Products - Full Range with Part Numbers

The site documents the complete range of LabelFlex® label sheets for Belden structured cabling - tie-on cable labels, wrap-around self-laminating cable labels, fibre flag labels, patch panel label strips, wiring block colour labels, faceplate and outlet labels, and equipment labels. Every SKU is listed with its dimensions, labels-per-sheet count, and pack size so you can order accurately through your Belden reseller without guesswork.

It is also worth knowing that if you have Belden patch panels on site, you may already have LabelFlex® labels. The free PX-series label sheets ship inside Belden panel boxes as standard. If you need additional sheets, the purchasable AX-series equivalents are available through all Belden resellers and distributors.

Label types covered on labelflex.io

  • Tie-on cable labels (AX107700-AX107705) - white and yellow, pre-perforated US Letter sheets, up to 48 labels in 20 seconds
  • Wrap-around self-laminating cable labels (AX101555, AX101556, AX107694-AX107720) - tested from -40°F to 212°F
  • Fibre flag labels (AX107692, AX107693, AX107721) - unique shoulder design for alignment during fitting on fibre optic cables
  • Patch panel label strips for every Belden panel family - including free PX-series in-box sheets and 24-port patch panel label templates

  • Faceplate and outlet labels, equipment labels - full range at labelflex.io

Installation Guides and Tutorials

The blog on labelflex.io covers the practical questions that come up on real Belden installations: how to label REVConnect patch panels, how to import a spreadsheet for batch printing, how to set up a cable labelling scheme that meets ANSI/TIA-606, and more. Content is written for the people doing the work - not sales copy. The goal is to make every Belden install faster, more consistent, and easier to hand over.

3. Your workflow

Built for Contractors and Enterprise Teams

LabelFlex® and labelflex.io serve two distinct groups of Belden users. The software and labels are the same - but what matters to each group is different, and the guides on the site are designed with both in mind.

Belden Contractors

If you are running multiple Belden installs per year - structured cabling jobs across offices, data centres, or commercial buildings - time is the constraint. Handheld tape printers are economical for a single rack. Beyond that, the economics shift fast: LabelFlex® with a standard laser printer can print a full 48-port panel strip in seconds, with port IDs pulled straight from a spreadsheet. No retyping, no misaligned labels, no proprietary consumables. The software scales from one panel to 10,000 ports without changing hardware or workflow.

Enterprise IT and Internal Comms Teams

If you manage ongoing moves, adds, and changes across a large Belden infrastructure - a hospital, university, or corporate campus - consistency and traceability matter as much as speed. LabelFlex® Advanced supports ANSI/TIA-606-B numbering schemes and multiple builds within the same job, keeping revision history clean. LabelFlex® Professional adds locked jobs (so approved datasets cannot be accidentally edited), job sharing across sites, and barcode and QR code generation for asset tracking and handover documentation.

Both customer types benefit from the same core advantage: label sheets are dimensioned to match Belden's specific port spacing exactly, with adhesive formulations tested on Belden's textured panel finishes. Generic labels adapted to fit Belden panels are a false economy - the alignment problems and adhesion failures cost more time on site than any label savings are worth. See the full range of Belden cable labels and patch panel labels at labelflex.io.

FAQ

Common Questions About LabelFlex® and labelflex.io

Why did you create labelflex.io separately?

labelflex.io exists to give Belden customers a dedicated home for structured cabling labelling. It is a focused resource centre with product-specific FAQs, installation guides, news articles, software updates, label SKU data, and tips - all written exclusively for people working with Belden structured cabling. Rather than navigating a broader labelling website to find Belden-specific information, everything you need is in one place at labelflex.io.

Can I still buy LabelFlex® software from the Silver Fox® website?

Yes. LabelFlex® cable label software can still be purchased directly from silverfox.co.uk. labelflex.io is the dedicated resource centre for Belden customers - it brings together FAQs, guides, news, and product information specific to the Belden labelling ecosystem. Whether you buy through Silver Fox® or discover the software through your Belden distributor, the product and the support are identical.

Do I need a special printer to use LabelFlex®?

No. LabelFlex® works with any standard office laser printer - the same one you already use for documents. The label printing software formats the label data to print accurately on LabelFlex® label sheets, which are supplied on standard US Letter sheets. One exception: AX101554 HD Patch Panel card labels are the only label in the range that explicitly supports inkjet printing. All other LabelFlex® label sheets are laser printer only.

Where can I find a patch panel label template for Belden panels?

All Belden patch panel label templates - including 24-port patch panel label templates, 48-port strips, and templates for REVConnect, KeyConnect, AngleFlex, and every other Belden panel family - are built directly into LabelFlex® Free. There is no separate download required. Install the software and your patch panel label templates are available immediately, pre-dimensioned to match Belden's exact port spacing.

What Belden panel types does LabelFlex® support?

LabelFlex® includes built-in patch panel label templates for all major Belden panel families: REVConnect, KeyConnect (standard and angled), AngleFlex, 10GX IDC, Flex patch panels, HD System patch panels, UHD 10GX/CAT6+/Cat5e panels, and ECX fiber panels in 1U, 2U, and 4U configurations. Wiring block templates cover BIX/GigaBIX cross-connect, BIX Modular Jack connectors, and 110 cross-connect blocks. All template dimensions are verified against actual Belden hardware. See the full template list at labelflex.io.

Where do I buy Belden cable labels and patch panel labels?

All LabelFlex® label sheets (AX-series and PX-series) are sold through Belden resellers and distributors. Silver Fox® does not sell label sheets directly. Contact your Belden rep or reseller to order. If you have Belden patch panels on site, check the box - PX-series label sheets ship free inside Belden panel packaging and many installers already have them without realising it. For full SKU details visit labelflex.io.

Does LabelFlex® work on Mac?

No. LabelFlex® is Windows desktop cable label software only. There is no Mac version and no browser-based version. It runs on standard Windows PCs and is compatible with all major Windows versions currently in mainstream support.

What is the difference between LabelFlex® Advanced and Professional?

Advanced covers the needs of most Belden installers and enterprise IT teams: CSV import with column merging, ANSI/TIA-606-B numbering, multiple builds per job, Fluke Networks® LinkWare™ Live and AEM TestPro integrations, and full free remote training and support. Professional adds capabilities for high-volume and multi-site projects - full spreadsheet view and .xlsx import, variable quantity duplication, barcodes and QR/Data Matrix codes (including GS1®), graphics and logos, locked jobs with sharing, AEM TestPro CSV workflow, and satellite workflow tools for distributed teams. Compare all tiers and view current pricing at labelflex.io.

Are there free Belden label templates I can download?

All 65+ Belden cable label templates and patch panel label templates are included in LabelFlex® Free - there is no separate download required. Download the free cable label software at labelflex.io and all templates are available immediately. Templates cover patch panels, wiring blocks, cable labels, faceplate and outlet labels, equipment labels, and fibre flag labels - all built to Belden's exact product dimensions.
